Defence fuel storage — ICCP design & installation

Finite-element-modelled impressed-current cathodic protection design and installation for two storage tanks at a defence site, using factory-assembled concentric-ring anodes.

The problem we solve

Complex tank-base geometry and boundary conditions required precise current-density modelling to achieve a uniform, optimised level of protection.

Our approach

  1. 01Finite element modelling of current density and potential profile
  2. 02Optimised anode layout derived from the FEM current-distribution contours
  3. 03Factory-assembled concentric-ring anode system for rapid installation
  4. 04Installed with no welding, hot-work permits, anode splicing or specialised backfill

The deliverable

Optimised, enhanced protection across both tank farms — with a concentric-ring ICCP system that cut installation time, complexity and project cost.
